Counselling

After the Fall

I am also a person-centred counsellor with now 5 years of private practice. Person-centred counselling  focuses on deep and non-judgemental listening, creating a safe space for the client to explore and be witnessed.  As psychological problems are usually linked to early conditioning and a sense that we need to ‘be’ a certain way’ in order to be accepted, I integrate into this approach  elements of other approaches  such as of Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Existential Therapy or Transpersonal Therapy. I also offer my experience as an artist and writer for creative exploration. My basic conviction is that relational depth between client and therapist is essential for healing to occur, a fact which has showed up in many studies.

As a member of COSCA, the Scottish Organisation for Counsellors and Psychotherapists, I abide by their code of ethics which essentially guarantees confidentiality.
I can be accessed through the ‘Counselling Directory’.

I work from Kinloss, near Forres, in Scotland, but sessions can also be arranged online via ‘Zoom’ or ‘Skype’ or per telephone.

My fees are £25 for an initial session, then £40, but I am open to negotiation.
