After the Fall
I am also trained as a person-centred counsellor with now quite a few years of experience. Person-centred counselling tries to help the client find his own answers to his problems by listening with empathy and unconditional positive regard, that is: without judgement. Although psychological problems are usually linked to early conditioning and a sense that we need to 'be' a certain way and 'perform' in certain ways as to be accepted, this approach focuses on the 'here and now' and is non-directive.
I integrate elements of other approaches as well such as of Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Existential Therapy or Transpersonal Therapy. I also offer my experience as an artist and writer for creative exploration if that is wanted. My basic conviction is that relational depth between client and therapist is essential for healing to occur, a fact which has showed up in many studies.
As a member of COSCA, the Scottish Organisation for Counsellors and Psychotherapists, I abide by their code of ethics which essentially guarantees confidentiality.
I can be accessed through the 'Counselling Directory', but no longer my facebook page, as I have de-activated my account.
I work from Kinloss, near Forres, in Scotland, but sessions can also be arranged online via 'Zoom' or 'Skype' or per telephone.
My fees are £15 for an initial session, then £25 to £35 on a sliding scale. I am open to negotiation.
